Visitation Church and the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph hired Zimmer to serve as Parish Representative for its construction project which involves a significant addition and renovation of the church and its support facilities.

The church was originally built in 1919 and has had several minor renovations since then. The new, 51,000 square foot building will seat 1,000 people in a new sanctuary, with a chapel seating 100. Zimmer was actively involved with issues of schedule, budget and scope of work such as the organ, liturgical furnishings and art.
