 For real estate lenders there is one dreaded “F” word — foreclosure. Three years ago, Zimmer recognized there would be fallout from the economic downturn and began developing its Lender Solutions practice.
That preparation has paid off recently for three lenders. Already this year, Zimmer has taken over management and brokerage for three bank REO (real estate owned) properties and is working to stabilize the properties and create value.
“Lenders can rely on our expertise in sales and leasing, management and financial accounting,” said Sonny Rogers, Director Corporate Services. “By relying on Zimmer, we serve as a buffer between the new owner, tenants and vendors which takes the burden and responsibility off the lenders.”

 On April 18, Zimmer officially kicked off fundraising efforts to help support the University of Kansas Hospital’s efforts to obtain the National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation. Zimmer and its employees have pledged to raise $10,000 toward this valuable cause, which will recognize KUMed’s excellence in cancer research, education and patient care and elevate Kansas City’s status as a treatment location.
